Mentoring
Ross Walter is an experienced Clinical Nutritionist, Naturopath and Herbalist, based in Brisbane. He is a second generation Naturopath and Herbalist, after his mother who was practicing for over 30 years. Ross's father was also an alternative therapies practitioner as a Massage Therapist and Acupuncturist. Hence Ross has been around the industry for a long time!
Ross, however, worked in the IT industry for over 20 years before following in the family footsteps! In this different industry, but similar in some ways, he learnt about being very logical, technical and detailed in troubleshooting of both hardware and software systems, taking a holistic approach of investigating the whole system (the body) and identifying the root causes of IT problems, and rectifying those root causes to fix the problem. The detailed and analytical approach applies in the same way to helping people with their health conditions or symptoms! Find the root causes and fix the root causes!
Ross is a regular contributor to various Naturopathic and Nutritional Medicine Facebook pages, from his knowledge and experience, from research, and in some cases, from personal experience. Ross is very much an evidence-based practitioner, but also aware of the spiritual/nature aspects of our individual health experiences, and anecdotal evidence too.
Ross is also the founder and host of the Brisbane Naturopaths Nutritionists and Herbalists mentoring group! This group meets monthly to discuss cases, new research, conditions, treatments, products and more. To help with the identification of the root causes in each client, and to streamline the development of individual treatment plans for them, Ross has developed a unique Root Cause Analysis Protocol. This process is very simple and easy to implement, even for the most complex or difficult of client cases! It helps you, the practitioner, to understand what is going on in the client's body, and what you need to do to treat them for the best and quickest outcomes.

Ross has developed a range of clinical forms, and a large amount of client handouts in Word/PDF format which can be very clear and helpful for clients to understand what you are recommending for them. These forms and handouts can be customised with your logo and contact details, and will save you a LOT of time not having to create these yourself!

As you may know, Ross is a bit of a nerd for pathology results! He has developed a pathology results analysis tool and report to help you analyse client pathology results using optimum ranges for best interpretation and recommendations. A training course is needed to be completed first to gain more knowledge on how to interpret pathology results in a Naturopathic way.

Ross is a prolific researcher and writer of informative, educational and thought-provoking articles. His extensive library of already written articles are available for your social media marketing, newsletters, and emails. Ross can also be commissioned to write a one-off article for you, or a series, or regular articles for your marketing. Ross has developed a range of clinical tools to help you choose the best products for your clients, such as a herbal database with lookup features to help with building your herbal prescription, a minerals database with lookup to match against presenting symptoms and other factors, and another on flower essences, and another on nutrients and supplements (underway). For students or new graduates, these can make it so much easier and quicker to choosing your prescriptions, to give you more confidence in your prescribing to clients!
