Yes it is that time of year again when we make our resolutions and goals for the year ahead. We can of course start working on our goals at any time of the year, but it's traditional for many to do this at the start of a year, especially after the probable excesses of food and drink during the xmas week!
Many people tend to focus on their health goals at this time of year - to exercise more, to lose weight, or aim to eat better etc, which is great! But when back in the post-holiday mode and at work again, work or other life duties becomes more of a priority and the health goals are left behind...
Why does it seem so hard to stick to your best intentions for better health? Sure, in every decision you make there is some commitment required, but there is something missing if you can't stick to your plan.

I believe finding your "why" before you start is far more important than the "doing" or the "what" part of your goals! Your "why" is your motivator, your reason or purpose, or your real goal! This is what you need to concentrate on, and the "what" will be easier! But there are some tricks to making this work, such as having your "why" written down and in a prominent place where you see it and say it every day, and then do something every day towards your real goal.
